We take a holistic approach to college counseling, considering each student's academic, personal, and extracurricular achievements when creating a customized plan. Our goal is not only to help students get accepted into college, but also to set them up for success once they get there.
With customized plans for your student to achieve academic excellence and get into the right college, we provide critical support to college admittance. Virtual sessions, and/or in-person (for those in the Chicagoland area) services, are offered give students maximum flexibility and are tailored to their busy schedules.

With comprehensive academic counseling, we help with class selection, interview preparation, and even planning for homework and deadlines along the way.
We help students identify and pursue extracurricular activities that align with their interests and goals and stand out on college applications.
Social media and hard copy resume-building assistance is provided, including how to choose the best recommenders.
We work with each student to compile an individualized list of colleges, help them navigate the Common App and/or specific applications, and focus on essay writing. We enable students to produce content that distinguishes their applications from those of the competition.
We help students identify scholarships and fellowships, including a focus on DEI-informed practices (when appropriate).
We are able to offer in-house supplementary coaching that complements our academic services. Starting with an optional mental health screening, students have access to a counselor with decades of experience. She offers an array of services designed to bolster student success.
William Pannapacker (MA, PhD, Harvard University) is a professor emeritus of English, who has counseled thousands of students on essays and applications for university admissions, scholarships and grants, and professional employment. For 30 years, he has been nationally recognized as a "Careers" columnist for the The Chronicle of Higher Education, the leading publication on the industry, and his work as an educator has been noted in The New York Times, The Economist, The Nation, The Atlantic, Slate, Wired, U.S. News, CNN, NBC, and NPR. The father of three daughters, he lives in Oak Park, Illinois.
Scott Eastman has mentored hundreds of college-age students over the past 25 years. A Fulbright scholar, he is the author of five books along with dozens of articles and editorials that have been published in various academic journals and news outlets, including Newsweek. Having started as an undergraduate at Pomona College, he went on to earn a Master's from Tufts and complete a PhD in History from the University of California, Irvine. He is a Professor of History.
Kara Eastman holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago. She has over 25 years of experience in behavioral health, gender identity, children's environmental health, and policy. She has served in a publicly elected role on the Board of Governors of Metropolitan Community College in Omaha.
2 in-person or online sessions (all sessions include detailed feedback sent immediately afterward to both the student and the parents).
Designed for juniors or seniors in high school, this customizable package provides weekly sessions as students determine which schools to apply to and how to craft their applications. Our standard hourly rate is $150/hr, and 6-month packages start at $3,500.
Whether starting out high school or beginning their junior year, students received assistance as they put together an extensive list of academic goals and begin to build their resumes, design a curriculum, and choose extracurricular activities (in-person sessions include an additional fee).
